He started his career as a Real Estate Sales Associate in 1973 while obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree on the G.I. Bill. He graduated from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma in 1975. The next step in his career path was with a leading Private Mortgage Insurance Company. This valuable experience was a building block that allowed him to successfully develop a multi-state region, which included Colorado, for a residential wholesale Lender that utilized cutting edge technology. During his career he has received numerous awards and commendations for setting and achieving high objectives such as; Salesman of the Year, Outstanding Achiever, Merit Award, COHBA Home Show Award, Circle of Excellence and Exchangite of the Year. He also had the opportunity to receive training and learn skills in areas that will help him to better serve his clients and customers such as: Effective Negotiating, Managing Time & Territory, Advance Sales, and Professional Selling Skills; as well as ongoing training through FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC. He obtained his Colorado Real Estate Broker’s license in 1997 and joined Coldwell Banker Timberline, Inc. in 2008. Floyd and his wife have reached their life goal of moving to the mountains so that they can enjoy all the amenities that Vail Valley has to offer. His career has come full circle and he is very excited to apply all that he has learned to assist his clients and customers with their real estate needs. It has always been his philosophy that “Service Comes First”; and, that only through a total commitment in satisfying his customers and clients needs can he then earn their respect and trust for a lasting relationship.
